Holiday at Home is an annual 2 week community event organised jointly by Formby Befriending Scheme and Formby Luncheon Club. It aims to provide elderly people in our community with a holiday they wouldn’t otherwise have, This involves several events over a fortnight hosted in various community buildings by various groups, local businesses and churches.

Events include musical entertainment, shows, quizzes, displays, games, crafts, parties, meals, health & fitness sessions, film screenings, theatre productions and outings. Some events are specifically planned to be dementia friendly.

Organisation, bookings and transport is managed by a small group of paid staff and volunteers.
